Funeral services for Alonzo Webber Jr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Greater Grove Street M. B. Church with the Rev. Willie White officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Mr. Webber died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at his home. He was 90.
He was a retired mechanic, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of the St. James No. 1 M. B. Church.
He was preceded in death by is parents Alonzo and Julia Webber Sr., and his daughter, Loretta Watson.
Survivors include wife, Lubertha Phillips Webber of Vicksburg; son, Lorenzo Webber of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Dianne Semien and Mary Ann Early, both of Vicksburg, and Catherine Minor of Scotts Plains, N.J., seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
