Violet L. Krisker

Violet L. Krisker of Vicksburg died of natural causes on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Promise Specialty Hospital. She was 99.
Miss Vi was a dedicated homemaker and took loving care of her husband, William. She was also a loving caregiver and regarded as a second mother to her nephews, Keith and Brent. She was an avid golfer and received many accolades during her 70-year golf obsession. Miss Vi and William were members of the Vicksburg Country Club for many years. She herself not only loved golf, but introduced and instructed her family in the sport. Her last golf outing was at the age of 98 with her group of friends. At Miss Vi’s request, her putter and her favorite hat will be buried with her. She was also an accomplished seamstress and very talented in arts and crafts. Her talent was also evidenced in her training of her three dogs, Zippy, Corky and Hopsing, who she taught to perform remarkably. Miss Vi was loved by many friends and acquaintances, especially her two special friends, Mary and Connie. The family wishes to express their appreciation for their friendship to Miss Vi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Herman Krisker; her sister, Joy Faye Hess; and Joy’s twin brother, Jay Hess.
Survivors include her nephews, Keith E. Garlock of Palm Desert, Calif.; and Brent W. Garlock of Yucca Valley, Calif.; and a niece, Melanie L. Bugara of Alliance, Ohio.
Burial will take place in Aurora, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Miss Vi’s project for the Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association.
