Wallace R. Ingle Sr.

Wallace R. Ingle Sr. died Monday Dec. 29, 2014. He was 92.

Born in Smith Station, he was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg.

Mr. Ingle was the son of the late Walter L. Ingle and Garnet Mae Tingle Ingle. He served in World War II in the Army as a technician fifth grade in the 655th Port Company Transportation Corps. He owned and operated Wallace’s Trim Shop and Washteria until he retired in 2001.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Ingle was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Barbara Trammell Ingle; two daughters, Robin Trahan (Kenneth) of Forth Worth, Texas, and Renee Norris (Randy) of Vicksburg; one son, Reed Ingle (Connie) of Grand Junction, Colo.; six grandchildren, Amanda Spendrup, Chanler Ingle, Logan Parker, Caray Norris, Colton Norris, and Cortlyn Norris; one great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Spendrup; one brother, Earl Ingle (Jan); and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Keen officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Logan Parker, Colton Norris, Micky Parker, Kevin Ingle, Everrette Ingle, Zack Smith, Chanler Ingle, and Tom Bresseal.
