Services for Dwayne Everette Montgomery, 55, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Awesome Christ Warriors Outreach Tabernacle in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Montgomery died Jan. 4, 2015, at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Hospital in Jackson.

He was born Aug. 23, 1959, in Port Gibson to Claudia Wilson and the late Sidney Wilson. He attended Port Gibson High School and after graduation entered the United States Army. Following his military service he held several jobs.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Demetric Montgomery; three daughters, DeJuan Montgomery of Port Gibson, Catina Anderson of Clinton and Jamia Odoms of Hattiesburg; one son, LaPravean Derby of Port Gibson; three grandchildren; his mother; three sisters, Francie Montgomery and Sharon Mackey, both of Port Gibson, and Erica Brown of Gulfport; a brother, George “Rusty” Wilson of Port Gibson; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous in-laws and friends.
