Cora Mae Roberson Reeves

Cora Mae Roberson Reeves was born in Dodson, Winn Parish, La., on Aug. 15, 1921, to the union of William Edward Roberson and Alma Lou Machen Roberson, and died at The Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah, Madison Parish, La., on Jan. 9, 2015.
Funeral services for Mrs. Reeves will be at 2 pm. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with Bro. Jason McGuffie officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
Cora Mae was reared in Madison Parish and had resided in Tallulah since 1950. She was retired Credit Manager and Sales Clerk for Johnson’s Firestone. Mrs. Reeves was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah for over 60 years.
Ms. Cora Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Wesley “Buck” Reeves in December 2013. Also preceding her in death was a son, Michael Wayne Reeves; her parents; and siblings: Edgar Garland Roberson (Hazel), Carl Casimier Roberson (Maxine), Charles Leonard Roberson (Bell), Gloria Beatrice Roberson Bradley (Lenell), and Alma Fay Roberson Harmon (Stanley); and a brother-in-law Clayton Wells Cox.
She is survived by her son, James Wesley, Reeves Jr. (Barbara) of Rayville, La.; grandsons, James Edwin Reeves (Selena) of Forrest City, Ark., and Michael Blair Reeves of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Storm Matthew Reeves (Hailey) of Slaughter, Ryan Wesley Reeves, Abbegail Marie Reeves, William Grafton Hobbs Reeves of Fort Belvoir, Va., Haley Gail Little and Lauren Kacey Little of Forrest City, Garrett Michael Reeves and Olivia Elise Reeves of Plano, Texas; and great-great-grandson, James Flynn Reeves of Slaughter; sister, Ada Louise Roberson Cox of Tallulah and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: grandsons, Edwin Reeves and Blair Reeves, great-grandson, Storm Reeves, and nephews, Eddie Roberson, Charles Roberson, Billy Cox and Mike Cox. Honorary pallbearer is a special nephew, Don Butler, who visited with her most every Sunday.
