Katherine “Sister” Koestler Owen Raworth died Jan. 27, 2015, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

She was born March 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles Herman Koestler Sr. and Katherine O’Hara Koestler.

Mrs. Raworth was a 1944 graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy and later attended All Saints College in Vicksburg and Stevens College in Missouri.

She is survived by two sons, Pat Lee Owen (Judy) of Jackson and John Owen (Sally) of Vicksburg; a daughter, Katherine Knoedler (Steve) of Fairhope, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Eric Anderton, Craig Anderton, Jamie Baxter, O’Hara Cain, Lee Owen, Leyden Owen and Sarah Wilbanks; 10 great-grandchildren; and 20nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Raworth was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. (Billy) Raworth; sister, Rosemary Koestler Hude; three brothers, Robert Marion Koester, Leo Carl Koestler and Charles Herman Koestler Jr.

A Memorial Mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Lalor, pastor, officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 12:30 pm until the service.

Memorials may be made to charities of choice.
