Jane Hill Cohn

Jane Hill Cohn died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at her home. She was 93.

Born in Lake Providence, La., she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1974. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Newton Hill Jr. and Annie Belle Erwin Hill. Mrs. Cohn was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Heiman Cohn, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Betty H. Guenard; and a brother, Jasper Newton Hill III.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Beth Palmer, rector of Church of the Holy Trinity, officiating.  Burial will be at the Jewish Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Friday until the service.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Holy Trinity, 900 South Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180, or to the Port Gibson Jewish Cemetery, in care of Mrs. Karla Back, 6 Oakmont Court, Little Rock, AR 72212.

Pallbearers will be Dan Cohn, Newton Guenard, Dr. Jared Ellis, Dr. Michael Ellis, Adam Rubin and Minor Ferris.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. William Wooten, Jim Horn, James Lowe and Dr. Thomas Sligh.
