Helen D. Bryant

Helen D. Bryant died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Baptist Memphis Hospital. She was 83.

Born and reared in Glen Allan, Mrs. Bryant was the eldest of nine children and a resident of Vicksburg for 40 years before making her home in Memphis for the past eight years. She was retired from the GNB Corporation, in Vicksburg, as a quality control inspector, serving 21 years and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 2003.

Survivors include her daughters, Nita Redditt of Vicksburg and Sue Franklin, of Georgia.; her sisters, Dorothy Cresson, of Slidell, La., and Ella Jean Wright of California; granddaughters, Trina Lent and Tangela Worley, both of Memphis; great-granddaughters, Victoria Worley and Caydie Lent, both of Memphis; and several other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service.
