WC tennis drops Murrah

Warren Central’s division opener on Tuesday turned out to be no trouble at all.

The Vikings only lost one match, and dropped just 10 games in the other six, en route to a 6-1 walkover against Murrah.

The boys doubles team of William Wooten and Brent Styles remained undefeated with a 6-2, 6-0 win, while Joseph Jabour and Alex Velazquez picked up the other boys doubles point with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.

In girls doubles, the teams of Lauren Davis and Skylar Gibson and Amanda Boleware and Sarah Hunter Fordice both cruised to 6-0, 6-0 victories.

Matthew Register and Avery Lynn Liddell won 6-2, 6-3 in mixed doubles. George Wilkerson won 6-1, 6-1 in boys singles.

The Vikings will host Greenville in another division match Thursday at 4 p.m. at Halls Ferry Park.
