Bobbye L. Sheffield

Bobbye L. Sheffield, 79, of Vicksburg, departed this life for her heavenly home on April 8, 2015, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg.
She was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Gosnell, Ark. Upon graduation from high school, she joined the FBI in Washington, D.C., for a year.
She moved to Vicksburg in 1955 and remained here until her passing. She worked at Strickland Surveying, was an EKG technician in the Street Clinic at old Mercy Hospital, and a framer at Stitch-n-Frame. She was keeper of church history of Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years and passed the job down last year to her son, David.
Bobbye was preceded in death by her parents, Tinger Lott and Lida Procter Lott; her husband, George Y. Sheffield; sisters, Lolita Maxine Stevenson and Helen Hebert; and her brother, William Lott.
Survivors include a daughter, Lolita Sheffield Harker; son, George D. Sheffield; niece, Christy Hebert Lamb; nephew, John Lott; granddaughter, Megan Hude; grandsons, Adam and Benjamin Hude; and great-grandson Jack Badgett.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Scott Reiber will officiate the service under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Remembrance will be at the home of David Sheffield after the burial.
