James “Wade” Fife

PORT GIBSON — James “Wade” Fife, of Pattison died April 14, 2015, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was 55.

He was born in Vicksburg, but was raised in Pattison. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, and was employed with Pickett Industries in Shreveport, La., until illness made him move back home to be with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, R.J. Fife; Mother Easter Fife; sisters, Darlene King and Martha Fife; and a nephew Kramer Fife.

Survivors include three daughters, Courtney Lynn Fife and Kaci Nicole Fife, both of Vicksburg, and Elizabeth Hall Murfreesboro, Tenn., two sisters, Debbie Moore of Pattison and Judy Shirey, both of of Vicksburg; a brother, Ricky Fife of Fayette; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Glenwood Chapel in Port Gibson with Pastor Marsha Hano officiating. Burial will be at Fife Cemetery in Claiborne County under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Fife, Rick Fife, Brian Brown, Lake Mc Whorter, Robert Starnes, Glenn Hynum, Larry Moore, and Earnest Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Shirey, Shaw Shirey, Joshua Shirey, William Smith, Dr. Paul Pierce III, Camellia Hospice and Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
