Gaskin shines for VHS at division meet

Vicksburg’s Keiyana Gaskin won the girls’ 100 and 200 meters, and the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relay teams also finished first at the Division 4-5A track meet Monday.

At least one VHS athlete in each of the meet’s 15 events advanced to Saturday’s region meet.

Gaskin was on both winning relay teams, as were Tymesha Nabors and Destiny Allen. Mikayla Banks rounded out the 4×100 team, and Kiona Patton was the fourth member of the 4×200 team.

Nabors was second in the 300 hurdles. Allen was second in the triple jump. Vicksburg finished second in the team standings.
