William “Sonny” Ford

William “Sonny” Ford died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 82.
Mr. Ford was born in Charleston and had lived in Vicksburg for 57 years. He was a retired logger. He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. Ford and Ida Ford; brothers, Charles Todd and Henry Ford; sisters, Beatrice Scallions and Ruth Ford; and a son, Kelly Ford Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Nona R. Ford of Vicksburg; two sons, Tony Ford (Bonnie) of
Vicksburg and Randy Ford (Carol) of Vicksburg; three daughters, Lola Tomlin (Charles) of Vicksburg, Ida Katzenmeyer (David) of Vicksburg and Diane Klemme (Don) of Vicksburg; one brother, Jack Ford of Greenwood; one sister, Ruby Hurt of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Miller, Wesley Wood, Charles Katzenmeyer, Billy Jo Hayes, Steven Ford, and Henry Irwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Ford, Tom Hart and Kelly Andrew Ford Jr.
