Vicksburg man missing from Yazoo City found safe

A Vicksburg man reported missing Tuesday was found safe Wednesday as authorities were preparing  to issue a Silver Alert.

NixonOzzie Lee Nixon Sr., 63, was found safe Wednesday morning, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said. Family members reported him missing Tuesday after he was  seen Friday in Yazoo City.

Nixon had left his apartment at the Aeolian on Clay Street sometime Friday and traveled to Yazoo City to visit friends, Williams said.

A family remember reported Nixon missing at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to Vicksburg police.

Williams said she was preparing a report about Nixon this morning and would forward it to the Yazoo City Police Department, when Nixon was located.
