Funeral services for Rasheeda Bey, also known as Odessa Steed, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at King David No. 1 M.B. Church with minister Barbara Kim Hebron officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

 

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 2 to 7 p.m., and Saturday at the church from noon until the hour of service.

 

Mrs. Bey died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 90.

 

Born and reared in Claiborne County, she was educated in Claiborne County public schools.

 

She was preceded in death were her parents, Hamic Steed Sr. and Ludie Harrod Steed; and two brothers, Melvin Steed and Hamic Steed Jr.

 

Survivors include three brothers, Henry Steed, of Omaha, Neb., Frank Steed, of Las Vegas and Raymond Steed of Country Hills, Ill.; one sister, Eula Bell of Vicksburg; one sister-in-law; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
