Dear editor,

I am real displeased with the way the men who are paid by the citizens to operate our city are treating the employees.

This did not happen when the officials were all white. It is time for our black elected officials to show our men the same respect that they show the non blacks.

They are mimicking the ole South. White officials would show more respect. Overtime is not out of control, the pay raises they gave themselves are out of control.

We are ranked the fifth dangerous city because of poor schools and unemployment. Crime flourishes in communities with struggling schools and high unemployment.

I would rather see my tax dollars used on the fire and police departments, than on fat cats politicians’ salaries.
