Two people accused of stealing guns, electronics and tools from a home on Lake Forest Drive were held without bail Monday.
David McKinley Emerson, 24, 215 Hackberry Road, and Jennifer Langston, 24, no address available, were arrested about 7:30 p.m. Friday and charged with grand larceny, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
The couple are accused of stealing a Smith and Wesson .357-caliber revolver, a Sthil chainsaw, a 7mm Remington rifle, three tool sets, a Yeti cooler, two laptop computers, a car stero and a set of rings, from a home in the 500 block of Lake Forest, Pace said.
Langston had permission to be in the home and invited Emerson in. The homeowner returned Friday and discovered Emerson hiding in the closet and noticed the items missing, Pace said.
“Some of the items have been recovered,” he said.
Emerson and Langston were held without bail Monday in the Warren County Jail awaiting their initial court appearances.
Man held for ramming Jeep
A Warren County man accused of ramming his truck into his girlfriend’s jeep was held without bail Monday.
Cody Lee Owens, 23, 300 Poole Road, was arrested around 8 p.m. Saturday after leading deputies on a foot chase from a home in the 5000 block of Gibson Road, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Deputies arrived for a domestic violence call and saw a Owen’s Chevrolet truck with heavy damage to the front and a Jeep in the driveway with heavy damage to the rear, Pace said.
Owens and his girlfriend had been in an argument before he left the home and hit the front driver’s side of the Jeep, Pace said. He returned and struck the rear of the Jeep.
Owens fled on foot when deputies arrived and was arrested after a stort foot chase, Pace said.
He was held without bail Monday in the Warren County Jail.
