Ruby L. Barnes died Sept. 6, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

Survivors include two sons, Fredrick Barnes of Richmond, Va., and Danny Barnes of Rolling Fork; four daughters, Brenda Cartlidge and Gloria Barnes, both of Rolling Fork, and Sandra Barnes and Rose Mary Barnes of Milwaukee; five brothers, Barnard Barnes, Stanley Barnes, Michael Barnes, all of Rolling Fork, Bobby Barnes of Anguilla and Robert Barnes of Maywood, Ill.; two sisters, Barbara Windom of Rolling Fork and Willie Sanders of Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services are noon Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Shiloh M.B. Church in Rolling Fork with Dr. Reginald Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Chapel Cemetery in Rolling Fork.
