Richard Houston May Jr. “Richy,” son, husband, father, brother and friend, was taken away from us unexpectedly and way to soon on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015. He was 34 years old.

Richy loved working on cars, boats, anything he could tinker with. He absolutely loved riding motorcycles, especially with his daddy, Richard. But what he loved the most was his family and his friends, especially his three children.

Richy was the guy that would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it, even if it meant he wouldn’t have one. Those that really knew him loved him. And he loved them in return with his whole heart. He was awaiting the arrival of his first nephew due next month.

Richy is survived by his parents, Richard and Sandra (Catt) May of Vicksburg, and Jackie Malone of Pensacola, Florida; his wife, April Richard; and three children, Trey, Jonathan and Hailey, all of Vicksburg; his younger brother, Mitchell May; his maternal grandparents, Melbern and Luevern Malone of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Red and Dot May of Vicksburg.

Richy will be forever missed by those that love him, but we will be forever grateful for the time that we had with such a special person.

Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, from 9 a.m. until the service at noon at the May Family Cemetery, 130 Savage Road, Vicksburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the family at 130 Savage Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180.

Pallbearers are Billy Hayes, Jr., Brandyn David, Eric Tindoll, Winston Lyons, Loyton Richard and Don Duke. Honorary Pallbearers are Joel Williamson, Tim Williamson and Ronnie Williamson.
