Mr. Xavier James Hill died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.  He was 47.

He was born Sept. 30, 1967, to the late Dona Hill and Mattie Naylor Hill in Warren County. He was the oldest of three children.

He was a licensed pipefitter, truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his father, Dona Hill; maternal grandparent, Lillian B. Naylor; paternal grandparents, Dona Earl Hill, Sr. and Carrie Wallace Hill; uncles, Carey Hill, Randy Naylor, Rodger Davis, Howard Naylor; aunts, Shirley Ann Naylor Humphries, Sandra Keyes and Debra Faye Allen.

Survivors include his mother, Mattie Naylor Hill of Vicksburg; his companion, Terry Ann Griffin; three sons, Stanwyn, Byron and Spencer Griffin; one daughter, Brae “LaShae” Griffin; one granddaughter, Sha’Mari Payne; two brothers, Patrick Bingham Sr. and Don Hill; two sisters-in-law, Demetrice Hill and April Bingham; one nephew, Patrick Bingham Jr.; one niece, Bianca Bingham; his big sister, Patsey Larry; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Lassister Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 1 to 7pm with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
