Dixie Ann Flowers

Funeral services for Dixie Ann Flowers will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Zion Travelers M.B. Church with the Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home in charge. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 2 until 6 p.m. and Monday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Flowers died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 61.

Born in Vicksburg, she attended Rosa A. Temple High School and Hinds Community College. She was a certified nursing assistant and was a member of Shady Grove M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Louis and Annie Grady Wolf, and two grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Eddie Flowers of Vicksburg; three daughters, Pamela McElroy of Palmdale, Calif., Sharon Flowers and Annie Flowers Williams, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Nora Coleman, Irene Williams, and Cherry Lee Johnson, all of Vicksburg; her companion Chester Ross Jr. of Vicksburg; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
