Funeral services for David C. Smith will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. He was 57.

He had worked for the City of Vicksburg and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Smith.

Survivors include his mother, Verda Lee Smith of Vicksburg, five brothers Percy Smith, Albert Smith and James Smith, all of Vicksburg, Robert Smith of Dallas, Texas, and Roosevelt Smith of Gonzales, Louisiana; four sisters Edna Ross, Mary Jackson and Linda Smith, all of Vicksburg, and Shirley Tyler of Lilburn, Georgia; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
