Billie Jean Ethridge

Billie Jean Ethridge, age 79, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee.

Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, from noon until 2 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Albans Episcopal Church Cemetery at 2:30.

Born on Aug. 27, 1936, in Maury County, Tennessee, Billie Jean was the daughter of the late Calvin Felix Fitzgerald and the late Rebecca Mae Skinner Fitzgerald. She was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church, the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

She was retired from the Waterways Experiment Station with 24 years of service in the finance and accounting field.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela McCoy of Vicksburg, Tammy Ethridge (Bobby) Coonfield of Huntsville, Alabama; sons, Eddie Ethridge of Lyles, Tennessee, Randy McCoy of Bon Aqua, Tennessee; sisters, Ann (Ernest) Stanfill of Columbia, Tennessee; brother, Roger Fitzgerald of Columbia, Tennissee; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Allen Wyatt of New Orleans.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Ethridge Jr.; her sisters, Estelle Wyatt, Elaine McGee, Reba Parker; and her brother, Calvin Fitzgerald.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Albans Episcopal Church or the Salvation Army.
