Fannie Ivory

ROLLING FORK — Fannie Ivory died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hosptial in Rolling Fork. She was 101.

She was born April 25, 1914, in Cottonwood. She was member of Pleasant Valley M.B. Church in Rolling Fork and served as vice president and president of the Sharkey County Singing Convention.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Ivory.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessie Mae; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; brother-in-law; godson; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services are noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Mount Lula M.B. Church in Rolling Fork with pastor Michael Maybell officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Vickland under the direction of Mitchell L. Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.

Visitation is Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
