PORT GIBSON — Jeanette H. Killingsworth, 76, of Port Gibson, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
A memorial service will be at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., with the service following at 11.
Mrs. Killingsworth was born on July 10, 1939, to James Fulton “Buster” and Floy Phillips Humphreys, and was raised in Red Lick. She was the widow of the late Allison Wade (A.W.) Killingsworth Jr. and the late J.P Wallace.
Survivors include her brother, Billy (Vida) Humphreys of Tok, Alaska; and sons, Jimmy Wallace of Port Gibson and David (Anne) Killingsworth of Starkville.
She was the cherished and loved grandmother of five grandchildren, Belinda Wallace (Greg) Cupit of Natchez, Katrina Wallace (Michael) Owens of Jackson, Josh Wallace of Knoxville, Tennessee, Elizabeth Killingsworth (John R.) LaJeune of Starkville and Richard A. (Mary Kathryn Waites) Killingsworth of Starkville; she leaves behind six great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Jarrett Humphreys of Tok, Alaska. She is also survived by Gerald Smith, a very special friend and companion.
Mrs. Killingsworth was a member of Stepping Stone Baptist Church. She was loved by her family and many in the community where she lived, and will be missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a memorial account which has been established in her memory at River Hills Bank in Port Gibson.
