A look at how players from Vicksburg-area high schools did in college and NFL football games over the weekend

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Talbot Buys (Porters Chapel Academy) saw playing time in a 27-19 win over Auburn.

• Louisiana Tech cornerback Adairius Barnes (Port Gibson) had three solo tackles as the Bulldogs became bowl eligible by beating Rice 42-17.

• Southern Miss offensive lineman Norman Price (Vicksburg High) started at right tackle and helped the Goldean Eagles roll up 246 rushing yards in a 34-13 win over UTEP.

• Belhaven offensive lineman Steve Cooper (Vicksburg High) started at left guard in a 14-10 loss to McMurry.

• Kentucky safety A.J. Stamps (Vicksburg High) had four total tackles and one pass breakup in a 52-21 loss to Tennessee.

• Cornell (Iowa) running back Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) had three carries for nine yards in a 41-17 loss to Lake Forest College.

• New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had five solo tackles in a 36-7 win over the Miami Dolphins.
