An Edwards woman accused of stealing money from her place of business was held without bail Thursday.

Zandreckia Peoples, 23, 106 Montgomery St., Edwards, was arrested 5 p.m. Tuesday at Advanced Auto Parts, 3404 Halls Ferry Road, and charged with embezzlement, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.

Peoples is accused of embezzling over $6,000 from the auto parts store where she was employed, Williams said.

 

One arrested for third offense

A Vicksburg man accused of assaulting his live-in girlfriend was held without bail Thursday.

Keith Sanders, 34, 2230 Grove St., was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at his residence and charged with domestic violence third offence, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
