Reports of malicious mischief at YMCA

Malicious mischief was reported in Vicksburg Saturday.
At 6:45 a.m. Saturday a report was made that windows had been busted and items had been turned over and thrown in the parking lot of the W.K. Purks Center, 267 YMCA Place, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Any with information about this crime is encouraged to call Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477, Williams said. Callers remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court. Crime stoppers will pay a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
Police investigate two burglaries on one street
Jewelry and cell phones were missing Monday following two burglaries reported Friday and Sunday in Vicksburg.
At 4:30 p.m. Friday and 7:45 p.m. Sunday at least five rings and two cell phones were reported stolen from two homes on the 200 block of Long Meadow Drive, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
The Vicksburg Police Department is actively investigating these burglaries and expect to make arrests, Williams said.
Items missing from apartment complex
Electronics and jewelry were missing Monday following a burglary reported Saturday in Vicksburg.
At 7p.m. Saturday, an Xbox valued at $500, DVD player valued at $200 and a ring valued at $325 were reported stolen from an apartment at 2727 Alcorn Drive, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Instruments missing from vehicle
Musical instruments were missing Monday following a burglary reported Friday in Vicksburg.
At 2p.m. Friday, two bass guitars valued at $1,000 were reported stolen from a 2006 Ford Explorer at 600 block of Rigby St, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
Items missing from vehicle in county
Electronics and a bag were missing Monday following a burglary reported Sunday in Warren County.
At 7 a.m. Sunday, a laptop, phone charger, Blackberry and a pink book bag were reported stolen from a Nissan Rouge on the 20 block of Standard Hill Road, according to Warren County sheriff’s records.
One held for taking vehicle
A Vicksburg man accused of taking a motor vehicle without permission was held without bail Monday.
Willie Odoms, 20, 929 Polk St., was arrested Friday and charged with motor vehicle felony taking, according to Warren County Jail records.
One free after 24-hour sanction
A Vicksburg woman was free Monday for drug court.
Sherry Balthrop, 46, 200 Enchanted Drive, was held in the Warren County jail for a 24-hour drug court sanction.
