St. Aloysius steamrolled the competition on the field in District 3-AAA, and in the All-District awards as well.

Running back DeMichael Harris was selected as the District 3-AAA most valuable player in voting by the league’s coaches, while lineman Josh Price was the defensive MVP and kicker Casey Griffith the special teams MVP.

Harris missed five games with an ankle injury, but returned in early October to rush for more than 1,400 yards and 22 touchdowns in his last six games. Four of those were wins, which helped the Flashes win the district title and reach the second round of the MAIS Class AAA playoffs.

Harris had a Warren County record 395 yards and six touchdowns in a first-round playoff victory over Bayou Academy, and surpassed the 200-yard mark four times. He finished his high school career with 3,689 yards and 47 touchdowns.

Price, a senior, totaled 52 tackles and led the Flashes with 12 sacks. He also forced two fumbles and was often used on offense as a lead blocker for Harris. Price scored two rushing touchdowns.

Griffith kicked five field goals and was 36-for-39 on PATs. Over the past two seasons he made 111 of 115 extra point attempts.

The Flashes also had six players selected first-team all-district, three more on the second team, and four on the honorable mention list.

Making the first team were wide receiver Lane Hynum; linebackers Bryce Richards and Jake Pierce; defensive linemen Jaylen Whitaker and Landon Middleton; and offensive lineman Ben Brown.

Named to the second team were quarterback Will Pierce; wide receiver Josh Brown; and linebacker Rett Verhine.

On the honorable mention list were linebacker Deontay Carson; defensive backs Donald Woodson and Brandon Teller; and special teamer Lofton Varner.
