PORT GIBSON — Fedocia Nicholson died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at Claiborne County Nursing Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Nicholson was a member, mother, and choir member at Ashland M.B. Church.

Survivors include two sons, Willie Washington of Jackson and Harry Nicholson of Mesquite, Texas; three daughters, Nina Torrain, Sentha Jackson and Martha Dotson, all of Port Gibson; three brothers, Alfred Nicholson of New Orleans, Troy Nicholson of Austin, Texas and Elihu Nicholson of Amite, La.; two sisters, Leonia Gentris of Detroit and Olivia Nicholson of New Orleans;  21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Richard Cruel officiating, assisted by pastor Roscoe Shields. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.

Visitation will be Friday from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
