Greg Hayden scored a goal, but Vicksburg’s tough soccer season continued Saturday as it lost 5-1 to Terry at Memorial Stadium.
Terry (6-1) scored less than 10 minutes into the game and never trailed.
Vicksburg was coming off its first win of the season, against Lawrence County on Nov. 21, but saw its record drop to 1-5.
The Gators will play at McComb on Tuesday night in their final game before the holiday break.
Warren Central 7, Petal 0
Hunt Holdiness scored two goals, Sean Dixon had a goal and an assist, and Warren Central beat Petal 7-0 Saturday at the Northwest Rankin soccer tournament in Flowood.
Jack Richardson, Elliott Stockett and Josh Griffen also scored goals for the Vikings (5-2), while Nathan Madsen, Theodor Stang and Chase Graham all had one assist. John W. Madison had two assists.
The win salvaged a tough weekend for the Vikings. They came into the tournament undefeated, but lost 6-0 to Northwest Rankin on Thursday and 3-0 to Tupelo on Friday night before winning big against Petal.
Warren Central will next play Friday at Greenville-Weston.
