Warren County officials sworn in during ceremony

Fourteen county officials were sworn in Monday during ceremonies in the chancery courtroom of the Warren County Courthouse.

The 14 officially take office Jan. 1, which is a holiday, resulting in the early ceremony. Among the new officials sworn in by Chancellor Vicki Roach Barnes were Tax Assessor Ben Luckett, who defeated incumbent Angela Brown, and John Carlisle, who was elected District 4 supervisor, filling the seat held by Bill Lauderdale, who decided to not to seek re-election and retire from the Warren County Board of Supervisors.

Carlisle was sworn in by Circuit Judge James Chaney.

Other officials sworn in included Chancery Clerk Donna Farris Hardy, Tax Collector Antonia Flaggs Jones, Sheriff Martin Pace, Coroner Doug Huskey, Supervisors John Arnold, William H. Banks Jr., Charles Selmon and Richard George, Justice Court Judges Edwin “Eddie” Woods Jr. and Jeffrey Crevitt, and constables Troy Kimble and Glenn McKay.

Kimble, who was elected in a special election to fill the unexpired term of Randy Naylor, was elected to a full term.
