Memorial services for Larry Eugene Steed, age 68, of Vicksburg, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola with visitation at 1 p.m.

Mr. Steed passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.

Larry was born Nov. 1, 1947, in Cleveland and grew up in Indianola. He was the son of the late Emmett Lee Steed Jr. and the late Minnie Jefcoat.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and being outside in his yard and garden.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Knight Steed of Moorhead; stepmother, Doris Steed of Indianola; two daughters, Stacey Springfield and Natalie Elwart, both of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren, Dillon, Steed, Spencer and Selby.

He also leaves behind two sisters, Barbara Smith (Don) of Tupelo and Donna Brasier (Larry) of Indianola; and one brother, Charlie Steed (Sheila) of Sherman.
