Ninja Turtles to bring anti-bullying message to Vicksburg

Ninja Turtles, the Red Power Ranger and a Hollywood stunt team are headed to Vicksburg all in an effort to educated children about bullying.

The Guardian Anti-Bullying Campaign Inc. is a nonprofit organization that travels the country to help children, parents and teachers with bullying issues and the organization is scheduled to perform live at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Vicksburg Auditorium, 901 Monroe St.

“This show is a 1-1/2 hour show with the best martial arts performers in the country giving you the best entertainment possible,” owner of the Guardian Anti-Bullying Campaign, Inc. Mark Anthony Baca said.

Guest host of the show will be Steve Cardenas, an American martial artist and retired actor, who played Rocky DeSantos in the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” T.V. series.

“The Red Power Ranger will also perform for the kids and make their dream come true to see in real life the skills only seen on the big screen.”

Admission is free for ages one and younger, $10 for ages up to 12, and $15 for ages 13 and older. As a special promotion, a 25 percent discount will be offered for the Vicksburg and surrounding community through midnight Saturday by typing in VICKSBURGPOST in all caps.

Exclusive VIP and VIP Meet and Greet tickets are also available.

VIP Meet and Greet tickets are $35 and include admission, a meet and greet beginning at 1 p.m., preferred seating, photo opportunities, an 8X10 photo of the cast.

Exclusive VIP tickets are $75 and include admission, a 12:30 p.m. meet and greet session, preferred seating on the first two rows, a VIP badge, a signed t-shirt, an 8X10 autographed picture, unlimited photos and a personal autograph of each cast member.

Proceeds from the ticket sales help with travel expenses for the organization and allow the group to visit terminally ill children as part of their mission to give back to the fans, Baca said.

About Terri Cowart Frazier

Terri Frazier was born in Cleveland. Shortly afterward, the family moved to Vicksburg. She is a part-time reporter at The Vicksburg Post and is the editor of the Vicksburg Living Magazine, which has been awarded First Place by the Mississippi Press Association. She has also been the recipient of a First Place award in the MPA’s Better Newspaper Contest’s editorial division for the “Best Feature Story.”

Terri graduated from Warren Central High School and Mississippi State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations.

Prior to coming to work at The Post a little more than 10 years ago, she did some freelancing at the Jackson Free Press. But for most of her life, she enjoyed being a full-time stay at home mom.

Terri is a member of the Crawford Street United Methodist Church. She is a lifetime member of the Vicksburg Junior Auxiliary and is a past member of the Sampler Antique Club and Town and Country Garden Club. She is married to Dr. Walter Frazier.
