Douglas Paul Newman

Douglas Paul Newman of Vicksburg died Monday, Jan. 25, 2016. He was 57 years old.

Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Douglas Newman of Hazlehurst; and his mother, Irma (Dumpie) Black of Vicksburg; and his stepfather, Charles R. Black of Redwood.

Mr. Newman was a carpenter by trade. He loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his brother, Greg Newman of Vicksburg; three sisters, Vicki Darden of Rolling Fork, Kelly Myers of Eagle Lake and Kim Ford of Vicksburg; two nieces, two nephews; and three great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30. 2016, at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Clarence Edwards officiating under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 1p.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Shane Ford, Chuck Ford, James Tedder, Wayne White, Cody Renau and Matt Tully. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Wiliby and Chip Barber.
