Jessie Lee Howard died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.

She was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Edwards to Ernest and Bessie Howard.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Oscar Stamps; sisters, Lelar Mae H. Mosley, Ruby Pearl Howard, Bernice H. Morris, Earnestine H. Wilson and Marie H. Baker; and brothers, Willie D. Shelby and Roy Howard.

Survivors include her sisters, Diane Mixon of Edwards, Liz Howard and Katie Howard, both of Los

Angeles, Rosie Lee Canada of Memphis, Tenn., Rachel Carthan of Jackson, Jean White

and Katherine Morrison, both of Edwards; four brothers, Johnny Howard of Chicago, James Howard

of Champaign, Ill., and Kenneth (Rene) Howard of Jackson; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be noon Sunday Jan. 31, 2016, at Willis and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
