PORT GIBSON — Mary Lee Griffin died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Claiborne County Senior Care in Port Gibson. She was 97.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of Christian Chapel Church and worked as a beautician and LPN for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Katie Johnson Davis and Robert Trevillion; her husband, Walter Griffin Sr., a son, Walter Griffin Jr.; a brother, George Trevillion; and two sisters, Annie Bell Gibson and Jennie Hicks.
Survivors include a grandson, Dennis Griffin of Desoto, Texas; three granddaughters, Sandra Kelly Fisher of Pine Bluff Ark., Dejuan Griffin-Smith of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Sharon King of Vicksburg; one-great niece she raised, Natasha Gibson Simmons of Jackson; and nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Christian Chapel Church in Port Gibson, with pastor Rufus Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home, and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service.
