DiamondJacks getting new name, facelift

DiamondJacks Hotel and Casino is getting a new name and a facelift, according to information from Foundation Gaming Group, the Gulfport-based company that acquired the casino in 2014.

According to a company press release announcing the changes, DiamondJacks will be renamed Water View Casino and Hotel, a name inspired by the property’s location along a bend of the Mississippi River.

The new brand is planned to be launched in time for a summer-long event featuring promotions, events and entertainment, according to the release.

Formerly known as the Isle of Capri Casino, DiamondJacks was acquired in 2006 by Legends Gaming of Mississippi, LLC, a subsidiary of Frankford, Ill.-based Legends Gaming LLC.
