RiverFest seeking vendors

The 2016 RiverFest board is seeking applications for the 29th annual RiverFest Arts & Crafts show.
The deadline for applications is March 31, RiverFest board secretary Ashley Tankesly said.
“We need to have applications by the due date, so we will have plenty of time to get a complete list of the vendors, Tankesly said, and also to be able to have adequate time to assign vendors their sites.
Each year, RiverFest attracts more than 10,000 people to downtown Vicksburg, and in the past the arts and crafts show has had more than 100 vendor participants selling their wares, which have included wooden toys, hand crafted bird houses, jewelry, yard art, homemade specialty food items and wood working signs.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your craft or artwork,” Tankesly said.
The cost for a 12 foot by 12 foot booth space is $100 and to qualify as an arts and craft vendor, 70 percent of the craft items must be handmade or enhanced by the exhibitor.
Garage sale type items do not qualify for the RiverFest Arts & Crafts show Tankesly said.
Food vendors are also encouraged to participate.
“We do not have electrical hook-ups, but grills and generators will be allowed.”
The cost for food booth space is $175.
The RiverFest Arts & Crafts show will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 16 and vendor booths will be set up in downtown Vicksburg around City Hall.
Attendance to the show is free.
