“It’s still under investigation,” Williams said. “There are a lot of variables.”

Robert Curtis, 58, was shot multiple times in the area of 2nd North and Bodley streets around 10:15 p.m. Monday night, Williams said.

Curtis was taken by ambulance to Merit Health River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg and transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Williams said.

She said an investigator was checking on Curtis’ current condition.
