Little River, S.C.—John Wesley Holden Jr. died March 30, 2016, at Carolina HealthCare North East in Concord, North Carolina. He was 60.

He was a former resident of Vicksburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Holden, and father, John Wesley Holden Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Ida Holden; two children, Sharae Holden and Bryce Wesley Holden, both of Concord, N.C.; four sisters, Ida Russell, Classie Holden and Gladys Smith, all of Vicksburg, and Katie Smith of Arlington, Texas; three brothers, Roland Holden of Oakland, Calif., Henry Holden of Hamburg, Germany and Leon Holden of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. April 6, 2016, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Little River, S.C. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
