The alleged shooter in a Monday night incident in Vicksburg turned himself in to authorities Tuesday and was formally charged Wednesday.
Delzione Gleese, 24, 902 Blossom Lane, was charged with attempted murder and felon in possession of a firearm, Vicksburg police Capt. Sandra Williams said.
“We expect additional charges,” she said.
Gleese appeared in court Wednesday afternoon in front of Municipal Judge Toni Terrett, Williams said, and he will appear in court again once additional charges are filed.
Robert Curtis, 58, was shot multiple times while standing on the street in the area of 2nd North and Bodley streets around 10:15 p.m. Monday night, Williams said.
“He is in good condition,” she said Thursday.
Curtis was taken by ambulance Monday night to Merit Health River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg and transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Williams said.
