Services for Geneva Phelps will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Greater Mount Lebanon Baptist Church with her son, Michael Phelps, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.

Mrs. Phelps died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 91.

She was a native of Vicksburg, a longtime resident of Magnolia Manor, and a member of Greater Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Beatrice Phelps; a son, Herbert Phelps; and a daughter, Shirley Gilliam.

Survivors include four sons, Michael Phelps of Vicksburg,
William Phelps of Atlanta, Louis Phelps of Kensaw, Ga., and
Benson Sims of Chicago;
four daughters, Willie Jean Davis of Vicksburg,
Gloria Devereux of Lithonia, Ga.,
Lois Claiborne of Detroit and
Bobbie Bradford of Chicago; a brother, Eugene Williams of Chicago; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
