Louis Israel Sullivan Sr. and Alma Jean Sullivan of Vicksburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 12, 2016, at King Solomon Baptist Church.

The couple was married March 10, 1966.

Mr. Sullivan is retired from the Corps of Engineers, where he was a printer and Mrs. Sullivan is retired from Merit Health River Region, where she was a nurse.

The couple has four children, Louis I. Sullivan Jr., (Katherine), Michael A. Sullivan (Angela), Reginald J. Sullivan (Chiquitta), Kenisha E. Sullivan, nine grandchildren, Laronda Kenny, Charles McCooggle, Kristean Sanders, Louis T. Sullivan, Erika Sullivan, Michael M. Sullivan, Ethan Sullivan, Ja’Kayla Gray, Jeremiah Sullivan and five great grandchildren, Kweke Garth Jr., Layla Kenney, Rileigh Kenney, Jordynn Saders and Londynn Green.
