One arrested on theft charges after wreck

A Texas woman is accused of driving a stolen vehicle after she was involved in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday in the 3300 block of Clay Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.

Kimberly Edds, 34, of Humble, Texas, was arrested by officers after a records check during the accident investigation indicated the car she was driving was reported stolen from Houston, Texas.

She was being held without bond at the Issaquena Correctional Facility pending an initial appearance Thursday in Municipal Court.

man arrested for possession

A Vicksburg man faces drug charges after his arrest Wednesday after a traffic stop in Clay Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Troy Kimble said.

Rashad R. Tucker, 22, a passenger in the car, is accused of having about 1 pound of marijuana, methamphetamine and a firearm. He was later released after posting a $15,000 bond.

The driver of the car was held, questioned and released, Kimble said.

Woman faces credit card fraud charges

A Vicksburg woman faces charges of credit card fraud following an investigation by Vicksburg police, Lt. Troy Kimble said.

He said Mary Miller, 52, was arrested Wednesday on misdemeanor warrants and was later charged with credit card fraud after police learned she had used a credit card without the owner’s permission. She was being held in the Warren County Jail Thursday morning in lieu of $5,000 bond.

 

One held for not registering

A Vicksburg man accused of not registering as a sex offender was held without bail Wednesday.

Tyrone Carter II, 41, 820 Jackson St., was arrested Wednesday and charged with failure to register, according to jail records.

 

One held for parole violation

A Vicksburg woman was held without bail Wednesday for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Victoria Wheeler, 28, 1950 Hope St. Apt. 1B, was held in the Warren County jail Wednesday on a warrant from MDOC for parole violation, according to jail records.

 

One held for probation violation

A Vicksburg man was held without bail Wednesday for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Melvin Harris, 22, 1501 Military St., was held in the Warren County jail Wednesday on a warrant from MDOC for probation violation, according to Warren County jail records.

 

One held for Georgia

A Warren County man was held without bail Wednesday on a warrant.

David Anglin, 32, 10253 Oak Ridge Road, was held in the Warren County jail Wednesday on a warrant from Georgia for probation violation, according to jail records.

 

Tools missing from home

Tools were missing Wednesday following a burglary reported Tuesday in Vicksburg.

At 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, various tools and power tools were reported stolen from a home on the 3000 block of Oak St., according to sheriff’s records.
