Clear Creek Ladies report

On Wednesday, Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association members met for individual stroke play. Linda McHann had the winning score, followed by Emily Bonelli and Dinah Lazor. McHann also logged the lowest putting score and two chip-ins.

VHS baseball camp

Vicksburg High will host the inaugural Grand Slam Baseball Camp June 6-9, and June 13-16, at its Showers Field practice field.

The first session will be for players ages 5-8, and the second session for players ages 9-13. The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day, and drop-off will begin at 7:30 a.m.

Instructors for the camp will be Vicksburg High head coach Derrick Dewald, assistants Shelby Robertson and Derek Sims, and VHS players. The fee for the camp is $75.

WC basketball tryouts

Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity boys basketball team will be held May 23-26, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. each day, at Warren Central High School’s Gym A. Players must have a current physical, signed parental consent form, a completed verification of residency form, and a completed concussion form. City pool opens May 30

Vicksburg City Pool will open for the Summer 2016 season on Monday, May 30, at 1 p.m. Recreation swim hours are 1-5 p.m., seven days a week. Beginning June 6, family swim time will be offered from 6:45 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Lunchtime lap swimming is available from 12 to 1 p.m. on weekdays.

All patrons are reminded to wear proper swim attire. Daily admission is $2 for children 12 and under, and $4 for adults. Summer passes are available for $60 for individuals and $120 for families.

Fuzzy Johnson baseball

Registration for the 2016 season of the Fuzzy Johnson Baseball League is now open. The league is open to children ages 5-14, and will include three age groups. Play 2 Wynn basketball

The 14th annual Play 2 Wynn Basketball Camp is scheduled for June 20-24 at Vicksburg High School. The camp is for boys and girls ages 6-17, and the registration is $100. It will be under the direction of Donna Brown-Wynn, a Vicksburg native who played and coached at Mississippi State and Belmont University.
