Joyce Allen Curtis died Friday, May 20, 2016, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center. She was 55.

Survivors include her mother, Gladys Lane of Vicksburg; three sons, Darrton Allen, Darren Allen and Alex Curtis all of Vicksburg; one brother, Andrew Boyd of Detroit; two sisters, Ollie Shelby of Denton, Texas, and Eddie Allen of Atlanta; five grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a future date.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
