Funeral services for Bernice Craig will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in the Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. Joe Leavey officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. There will be a visitation hour held Friday, June 17, in the chapel from 5 to 7 p.m.

Ms. Bernice Craig was born Sept. 8, 1932, in Vicksburg. She departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was 83. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she remained a member for 50 years.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lucinda Craig James; a son, Samuel Craig; two sisters, Jenny Bee Craig and Gladys Lewis Ferguson; two brothers, Andrew Smart and Henry Craig; and a sister-in-law, Lula Mae Craig.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Betty Brown, Gloristine Strong and Elouise Craig and a son, Charles Craig, all of Vicksburg; one sister and brother, Willie B. Williams and James Craig of Detroit; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and others including General Robert Crear.
