Ellen Marie Pickett Yates, age 46, died at her home in Vicksburg Thursday, June 30, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Clinton Pickett Jr. and Augusta Pickett; and her brother, Clint Pickett.

She is survived by one son, Michael Pickett; two daughters, Abbie and Allie Yates; three sisters, Glenda Thornton, Melva Powers and Charlotte Miller; sister-in-law, Janet Pickett; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Trinity Baptist Church. A private burial will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
