Funeral services for Clyde McCoy will be Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. R. D. Bernard officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McCoy passed away Monday, Aug. 8, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home following a brief illness. He was 64.
He had worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a deck hand and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ora Douglas McCoy; and his brothers P. D. McCoy, Anderson McCoy and Robert McCoy
He is survived by is wife, Linda Lee McCoy of Vicksburg; his son, Clyde Southerland of Arkansas, and Lee Anthony McCoy of Vicksburg; his 5 daughters, Carrie Robinson of Olympia, Wash., Robin McCoy of Vicksburg, Ora McCoy of Port Gibson, Gloria McCoy of Vicksburg, and Ruthie McCoy and Sherry McCoy, both of Vicksburg; his brothers, Lee Arthur McCoy of Vicksburg, Calvin McCoy of Laurel, William James McCoy of Natchez and James Riley McCoy of Chicago; his sister, Gloria Ward of Vicksburg; 17 grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
He was a member of the Tyner Ford Post #13 American Legion.
